Camcorders keep getting smaller and smaller. The Flip video camcorder is a good example of this phenomenon. People who regularly use their cell phones to record events, can step up the quality of their videos by purchasing the Flip. One of the best aspects of the camera is that it’s incredibly easy to use. Often, the easier it is to use a product, the better. Unlike other video recorders that have a thousand confusing buttons, the Flip keeps it simple. There are only a few buttons on the camera. The play button, record button, zoom button, and delete button.

The Flip has a 1.5-inch LCD screen that has high resolution without a glare. Another great aspect about the Flip is the customizable aspect of the camera. There are a myriad of top-selling designs that allow people to make sure that their camera is representative of their personality.

One downside to the Flip is the difficult time that it has been giving MAC users. The camera does not support MAC OSX Leopard and the company can’t guarantee that the Flip program will be fully functional. Running the camera in MAC’s IMovie can also be a headache.

On a brighter side, the Flip definitely has its advantages. The camcorder is lightweight, compact, makes taking videos easy, and uses common AA batteries. The Flip has the potential to be a good tool for family videos, trips, or just simply goofing around.
