In our opinion: New 'Rings' game gets old fast

“The Lord of the Rings: Conquest” (Electronic Arts, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, $59.99): “The Lord of the Rings” may be the ultimate expression of the hero's journey, with Frodo Baggins triumphant over overwhelming evil. Frodo's adventure, though, almost seems like an afterthought in the latest “LOTR” game, which focuses on the widescreen battles, from Helm's Deep to Mordor.
